Hi, I’m Gillian

Primary teacher, tutor, and proud mum of three boys. But before I was the founder of Get Set Maths, my two biggest roles were Mum… and the teacher who worried about the kids who didn’t “get” maths.

I’ve always believed that every child is capable — they just need the right support, at the right time, in a way that makes sense to them.

Fast-forward 24 years of teaching (across the UK and UAE), and I now get to do what I love most: help children understand maths deeply, genuinely enjoy it, and start to believe in themselves again.
